THE SURREY, reminiscent of early automobiles at the beginning of the 20th century, has been a staple in the leisure cycle and rental business for over 35 years. Four-wheel cycles have been enjoyed by Americans for more than a century. The first known four-wheel cycle was introduced to the American public in 1853 at the Crystal Palace Exhibition held in New York. The earliest American Surrey, the Gym Dandy Surrey, was manufactured by the Universal Manufacturing Company of Bossier City, Louisiana, and was introduced to the American public in 1955 on a variety show hosted by Art Linkletter. The Gym Dandy had two yellow wooden bench seats, hard rubber wheels and the nostalgic fringe atop a red frame. The INTERNATIONAL SURREY COMPANY's Surrey is the latest in a 35 year evolution of Surreys designed specifically for the Surrey rental business. Through our affiliated rental company, Beach Bike Rental, we rented a fleet of 200 Surreys on the Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, Texas, at one time and learned that Surreys advertise themselves. That is, the more Surreys your business makes available to the public the larger the crowd your business will draw. Depending on your particular market, the rental rate for Surreys ranges from $15.00 an hour to $20.00 a half-hour.

THE SURREY LIMOUSINE, the younger and bigger sibling of the Surrey, first made its debut in the leisure cycle and rental business in 1985. Designed for six adults and two small children, the "Limo" is perfect for larger families or two families to ride and enjoy the sites together. Limo rental rates range from $20.00 an hour to $35.00 a half-hour.
